In early 2011 I learned about this little known Australian company (Lynas) building a Rare Earths Processing Plant in Malaysia.
I decided to make a video about the issue. I thought maybe if a few hundred people watched it and gave
some thought to what are the REALLY important issues at the coming federal election, that I would have
done something positive for Malaysia. Turns out that over 200,000 people watched my video.
When I went to Malaysia in 2011 I had an interview with Yang Amat Berhormat Menteri Besar Pahang, Adnan Yaakob.
He said some stuff which shat me off so I recorded this video.
This is the first episode in a series of Youtube films I am making about the Lynas issue in Kuantan.
In this video I congratulate Malaysians who in their tens of thousands took to the streets to protest against Lynas Corporation. This is the way forward for Malaysia. With a citizenry who have the courage to speak out on important issues and insist that the Government listen. Malaysia will make sustainable progress once Malaysians understand that the natural environment, once ruined, is ruined forever.
Malaysia will not make progress with poisonous factories.
The Cousteau song, The Last Good Day Of The Year, is one of my favorite of all time. I made
this video with a series of photos I took of the Perth and Fremantle area of Western Australia
on my little Canon s90. Such a great little camera.
Some friends of mine are in a band called The Stokies. This is the awesome song they made
up one afternoon. Jose banging on a cardboard box and playing the harmonica. Kirill making
up some lyrics and playing the guitar.
In 2011 Kirill Ivoutin, John Dunn and Ryan Albrey (me), went to Russia to ride motorbikes.
This video is us in Moscow getting ready to make our way east to Siberia. The amazing Russian
Hip-Hop is a Moscovite fellow named Johny Bong
